So here is the latest activity from my workbench.

The undercarriage and transmission of the 9520T tractor is finally taking shape.
Trackframes has been done for a while, just some small touch ups here.

Transmission though is now nearly complete and fits perfectly inside the mainframe.

As you will see on the back, I have drilled the holes for all the bolts to fit either a 3pt hitch or a wide swing bar. I am not sure what to make yet. I better start with the swing bar as I want to get the rig pulling as soon as possible.

Not much to say, as the pics will tell you the most

The plow I am building features a mechanical system that puts pressure to the frontaxle via the topshaft. Up to 500grams of pressure just by pulling the plow….. !!!

All that would not be used at all with a normal 2WD tractor. So that triggered me to start building the new axle.

    Some details.

The axle will has it’s own gearmotor. It have the exact same gearratio as the rearaxle but the front diff. is 1,5:1 and rearaxle is 2:1.

The differential works by 2 ‘one-way’ needlebearings. When it runs forward the axle is actually locked (diff. lock). But in turns the outer wheel spins faster than the innerwheel. (power to innerwheel only = 3WD). ‘One-way’ means that I will only have 4WD when it runs forward and 2WD in reverse.

The complete axle feature 14 bearings in different sizes.

    The soundunit is from Benedini

TBS Mini with build in light switch, servo output etc.

All functions are working; (Video at bottom)

Landwheel steeres left and right, stopsrews are securing that the wheel is aligned with the coming landsides.

Plough raises and lowers, again the stopscrew secures the correct depth.
Boom turns over and tiltscrews are in place to secure that the boom lays horizontal when the tractor drives in the furrow.

First furrow adjustment is working. Furrowwidth adj. is coming soon….

Electronics consists of a printboard from a Hitec HS 5045 digital servo. But the potentiometers has got a 2 kOhm resistance to achieve a full 180+ degr. operation. Instead of the 120degr. standard. Endpoint and trims is made from the transmitter.

Video says more than words and pics….

    Here is a Video:

Turning part. Also take a look at the small tools. It’s actually real tools made for the small nuts.

In these two following pictures you will see the secrets of the turning part.
Two 90dgr. bewelgears and a motor do the trick. A potentiometer is mounted to set the endpoints and it can be fine tuned via the radio controller.

Here is the start of the first furrow adjustment. It will be adjusted via a spindle…

Rearend is done, except of the fender over the cylinder. Turning cylinders are done with adjustment-nuts

When you take a look under the plowframe you will notice the wire coming out to raise and lower the plow. Fine tuning is done by the nut on the cylinder

The last one is from a danish media, Tractor Tech.

    Features of the tractor.

    4WD

    Front and rear hitch

    Working, drive and beacon lights

Soundmodule (new version since videos) programable via PC

    Thank you for watching.

Here is a little progress on the 9020T tractor I am working on.

Belttension is designed with bearings in the 'forks' instead of placing them in the wheels.

The walking beam is now done. On the pictures you will see how I made the attachments to the frames.

The issue is that, by moving the two frames up and down from center/zero the distance is getting bigger and when the beam is attached, it forces the frames to move inward and therefore no longer parallel.

I came up with the idea, that if I let it 'rotate' over a square piece, it would spread the frames when the beam travels up and down. Also the beam will be able to travel backward (about 1.5mm) on the mid axle. As this distance also get's shorter.

    Next up is the gearbox.

Mainframe is milled out to make room for transmission and rearaxles.

Left and right side of the undercarriage is almost done.
