I banded a 3mm brass pipe.
I bent over to do a 90 degree banding, but this is what happened.
I tried banding with heat, but the result was the same.
I want to do inner R3mm outer R6mm banding but it's hard
I need the help of model users.

To bend that small radius, you need a special bendingtool.

Otherwise it will kink like in your pic.
Hei,
I had exactly the same issues. I also tried the Fechtner tool but it didnt work. Same result as you had.
I used a 6mm drill shaft and forced the pipe around it. But not in one go, more like every mm I bent a bit, moved it another mm , bent a bit and so on.
But still I didnt achieve a r6.

Hi Braunie,
Fill the tube with sand and close the ends, and then use the bending tool and see the result.

Hei Bernd,
Too late for my model, but I will consider it next time!!!

First of all, thank you for providing valuable information~ But I tried that product. But I didn't get a good result.

Thank you for your good opinion. A few others recommended the method as well. So I bought very fine sand to test the method. I will share the test results soon

It's so nice to be able to talk like this with the same problem as me. The pipe I have has an outer diameter of 3mm and an inner diameter of 2.3mm and a wall thickness of 0.35mm is very thin, so it seems to deform easily.
